With over 75% growth in mobile advertising in 2013 (AdAge) mobile is no longer an emerging channel. As with social media, it has become an essential part of the digital marketing toolbox. 2014 is certain to bring more changes and envisioning the future of this ongoing evolution of the mobile marketing industry is certainly challenging. It is important to keep aware of the ever-changing landscape and to adapt digital strategies accordingly. At GNE we plan to do just that.
Our first strategy is to make sure that all of our clients have a mobile optimized web site. Also, since over half of all email is now opened on a mobile device, a trend that is projected to continue increasing through 2014, it is important to create emails that are easily read on a mobile device. The same holds true for creating videos created in the short format that is needed for mobile and for following all of the advances that the social platforms – Facebook, Twitter and the like will be making on mobile over the coming year.
